Velinda Stevens has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Northwest Healthcare Corporation in Kalispell, Montana, since 1999. Northwest Healthcare provides approximately 300 beds and is comprised of three hospitals (Kalispell Regional Medical Center, Pathways Treatment Center, and the Health Center) and one long term care facility (Brendon House). Services include acute care with inpatient rehabilitation, psychiatric care and chemical dependency, and a physician joint-venture hospital.
Ms. Stevens has more than 25 years of experience in health care administration. Prior to relocating to Montana’s Flathead Valley, she held various positions with hospitals and hospital systems, including Chief Executive Officer at four Texas hospitals and one California hospital. She earned her B.A. in Biology from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, and her Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Ms. Stevens is married with two children.
