Dr. Broussard is the overseeing veterinarian for all research projects at the International Heart Institute of Montana Foundation. She graduated from The University of Montana in 1985 with a degree in wildlife biology and worked on wildlife research with grizzlies and wolves before applying to veterinary school. She attended Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, graduating with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1993. She then volunteered as a wildlife research veterinarian for the PAWS organization in Seattle before returning to Missoula and working as an emergency medicine veterinarian for 13 years. She joined IHIMF in 2006.
