Tim Descamps
Executive Director - The International Heart Institute of Montana Foundation
Tim Descamps is the Executive Director of the International Heart Institute of Montana Foundation. He joined the Foundation July 1, 2004 and brings extensive executive skills and health sciences industry expertise to his position.
Tim earned his BS in accounting from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer for Lumedx, a leading provider of cardiovascular information systems serving over 300 major heart centers worldwide. More recently, he was a Partner at David Powell, Inc., a financial and human resource consulting firm serving the technology industry, principally in the Silicon Valley and Austin, Texas. There, Tim specialized in the field of Health Sciences and Bio-Technology and his practice included serving as the Chief Financial Officer and consultant for several public and private companies in the areas of financial reporting and SEC compliance including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Tim has had a long involvement with Montana. He is married to Lauren Descamps, formerly of Great Falls. They and their two sons moved to Missoula from San Rafael, California in 2004.
